Graduated from University of Technology Sydney, Australia with a double degree in Bachelor of Education (Primary) and Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. As part of the International Studies degree, she attended one year of in-country study at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou.
Is born in Canada, raised in Australia and received primary, secondary and tertiary education from Canada, Australia, Malaysia and China, and is fluent in both English and Chinese. She has over 7 years of teaching experience as an Australian bilingual teacher and a primary homeroom teacher in one of the four bilingual government schools in NSW.
